HABESHA Program (con’t)
HABESHA Program
This past weekend, some of my residents and I went to HABESHA. We helped build a wall and also helped prepare the community garden for the season. We also toured the Omenala Art Museum.
This is my flyer for my program on Saturday. To learn more about what HABESHA is or how you can get involved please check out the website: http://www.habesha.org/
The Secret To Success was a program that Kareem and I had this past Sunday. We started the program by asking the residents to define their own personal success. Specifically, we wanted them to think of what success looks like for them. For example, we wanted them to think of the car they might want to drive, the kind of house they would want to live in, or the type of job they could see themselves working. After that we watch the movie “The Secret.” After the movie we discussed the power of the mind and thinking about the things that we want to attract into our lives. Further, some residents discussed how the law of attraction has work in their own lives and how it has made them successful at this point in their lifetime.
Having fun with some of my residents.
Community Development

During this Love and Forgiveness session, we played a game where I had the residents rate how willing they were to forgive in certain situations.
